Ways to Give

Outright gifts in the form of a check, securities or real property support the vital work of Cancer Care Resources while providing the donor with tax advantages. If gifts of appreciated securities or property are given directly to Cancer Care Resources, there will be no capital gains tax.

One time on-line donation – Simply donate online.

Multiple installments - You pre-select the amount and timeframe from the options below. We will automatically debit your credit card according to your predetermined schedule and send you a receipt for tax purposes.

Planned Giving  - The calculator is designed to provide you with an illustration of the income and tax benefits to which you may be entitled if you make a planned gift to benefit Cancer Care Resources. Use the calculator now >>

Matching Gifts – Many employers offer a program to match employee’s contributions to charity. Ask your Human Resources Department for information and forms.

Community Health Charities Work Place Giving - Cancer Care Resources is a member agency of Community Health Charities which raises money on behalf of their member agencies. During your workplace giving drive, you can direct your contributions to Cancer Care Resources. To learn more, go to www.chcor.org

United Way Work Place Giving - Designate your United Way contribution to Cancer Care Resources.

Car Donations – To donate a car, call 503-528-5236 or go to our vehicle donations page for instructions on how to donate a car to Cancer Care Resources.

Insurance - A simple gift idea is donating an insurance policy. Some people have small policies purchased when they were just starting out. As circumstances have changed over the years, the insurance may no longer figure significantly in financial plans. Of course, gifting an insurance policy to Cancer Care Resources has tax benefits for the donor.

Retirement Accounts - IRA’s and other retirement arrangements can generate significant tax consequences when passed on to anyone other than a spouse at death. When given to a charity, these plans are taxed very modestly or in most cases, not at all. Donating all or a portion of a retirement plan to Cancer Care Resources makes effective use of qualified dollars.

Estate Gifts - The inclusion of a charitable bequest (gift) in a Will affords a way for virtually anyone to support Cancer Care Resources. A bequest can be expressed in a number of different forms, including:

a specific dollar amount
a percentage of the estate
a specified asset
a percentage of a specified asset

For assistance with any type of gift, please contact Cancer Care Resources at 503-528-5236.
